Had a great time in Marietta! The Adelphia is a beautiful room with good acoustics and an awesome staff. Shaggy the sound man was great to work with. And big shout out to Rodney Masten and John Radcliff for puttin' us up (and putting up with us- ha)
Like the efficient, road tested band we are we arrived at sound check in 7 different vehicles. We need to work on that whole going green thing. However Randraiz drives an awesome hybrid now, so perhaps that makes up for a few of our ecological sins.
Sound check was quick (thanks again Shaggy!) which left us a bit of time to check out the town of Marietta (or nap on the upstairs lounge couches at the Adelphia in some cases...ha). Marietta is pretty cool. Seth, Jared, Moriah and I sampled the local beers at the Marietta Brewing Company and walked around town a bit peeking in store windows and whatnot. There was an awesome red accordion in the window of the music shop that Seth really wanted to take a look at...too bad the shop was closed. Maybe I'll have to make it back out to Marietta before Christmas to check it out for him.
Gig went well. Got a bunch people dancing by the end. It's always hard to win over a new crowd and get them to dance when you first get to a club...strange...but some people eventually got out there and it turned into a really fun party.
Captain T took a bunch of good pics and videos at the event. All of these are his. You can check out the rest of the album here.
Again, big thanks to The Adelphia at the Galley for having us out.
